South Park CC B 4 Limes D 1 @ the Garland
Margo 160, Lorraine Hamblin 780 (both girls had the black when out in front ) Mama Hall 2690, Dave Lee 1000 Dave Snashfold 4440, Thomas Gillick 1090 Paul Trottman 4340, Steve Whipp 3580 tommo 3580, John Palmer 1610
First go on the Garland for some of us, table is in a special games room, but quite cold and the table a little slow. Sad to see the Flying Scud all boarded up on the way through, but good that the teams have found somewhere suitable and relatively close.
Good luck to Mama Hall who goes under the surgeon's knife later this week and as a result misses Jersey.

Garland A v SPCC A @ The Limes table 1
Clash of the top two from last year resulted in a 4-1 win for South Park
Colin Robins 5070 - Laurie Roberts* 3740 Laurie with the break but both players unable to maintain the break it was a case of who could stay on and keep what they had Colin did! 1-0 to The Garland
Geoff Jukes* 5910 - Jim Greensted 8820 Completlely opposite from the first leg here with Geoff making 3k and then off with balls at the top of the table I was able to get the break back and put injust over 8k to make it 1-1
Cliff Wayland 1810 - Vernon Sparkes* 6540 Vern made it safe with two breaks of around 3k each and Cliff having no luck at all
2-1 SPCC A
Jason Wadsworth* 4460 - John Slee 6610 John puts South Park over the line with a couple of 3k breaks Jason had his chances but was unable to maintain the table in his own pub 3-1 SPCC A
Simon Tinto 5010 - Andy Finn* 8350 Andy off early and Simon gets the break puts 3k up, Andy responds with a 6k and with balls up the table it ends up 4-1 to SPCCA! A good evening of billiards and a successful start to the defense of thier trophy for South Park
Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Limes B vs Garland B Very enjoyable evening at MVC and the table played beautifully. Neil against the break 500, Denise 13020 Gary 720, Alison 6940 Steve against the break 1440, Sally 5270 Cherry 1260, Mick 7370 Richard against the break, 2340, Sheila 4740 Good start for us winning 5 0
Four ladies playing, managing 30k between them, that doesn't happen too often ! Well done, my former teammates !
