Here's a novelty.......home-made conversion from a pool table: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160759029422It's actually quite a clever design - although you can see the join ! ;) 5" x 3" so doesn't count as a 'miniature'. But the obvious drawback is it's unlikely to have a slate bed (probably MDF). Nonetheless, good as a 'demo' table and the workmanship looks good......... I reckon anything under £100 would be a bargain. Went for a single bid of £70.

Mitchells of Skeggie "Bathtub" www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160771658528Doesn't look as if it's had bar billiards played on it for quite some time. :-/ :'( Went for £53.22 after 7 bids.Good to think that someone somewhere will be lavishing some TLC on to this to restore it to its former glory.........these could turn out to be collector's items.

Toy table, 2ft x 1ft. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290689501682Interesting hole formation - only 7 of them - no 10 or 100. The sort of thing that could have a plinth added to turn it into an impressive perpetual trophy - maybe the AEBBA or an interested county should put a bid in ? Went for a princely £7.50.

Fibreglass arcade-type from Banbury: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150801281529Anything up to £300 if in pristine condition, unfortunately on this one it looks like someone has tried to lever the baize cushion away from the wooden frame at the front, using a chisel - and they have made a right mess of it. :'( Went for £310 after 8 bids.

Although there are similarities to other tables (Jelkes ?) this one must count as a modern refurbishment: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330743145304I would imagine a very high reserve has been put on this one, maybe even a grand. :o Looks like this guy is setting up as a table operator serving the rest of the country not covered by the AEBBA. 8-) On the face of it, exploiting a gap in the market. But if the market is non-existent.....

1 hour, 25 minutes to go, and bidding is only up to £310 with no apparent reserve.
Everyone is playing it cool, but I cannot believe the vendor will let this go for less than £600.
Don't be surprised if this one is suddenly 'pulled' just before the close of the auction. :-/

As far as I am aware you cannot cancel with less than twelve hours to the auction end. Sav A favourite trick I've witnessed is to claim that "someone made an offer which was accepted." Then lo and behold it goes back on a week or two later with note that 'previous sale fell through' - coupled with a higher reserve ! :-X

This one from Abingdon looks either home-made or a prototype (copy from a Padmores ?) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221062374918#ht_500wt_1287Standard dimension but hardboard base in lieu of slate, and no apparent timer/bar mechanism. Not for the serious player, should go for well short of the £500 mark. Went for just £138 after 11 bids - no slate being the governing factor.

Russian billiards (table top): www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170896739828#ht_500wt_1288The size is roughly 5ft by 2.5ft and you can play a proper game on these. My grandad used to have one which the family used to shelter under during the doodlebug raids in the Blitz. One night the family returned from town to find the house demolished, the table with it. :o :o Went for £142 after 15 bids. Fair price.
