Hi, this is the match result from 15/2/2012
Anchor vs Courthouse B Colin Manson 2000:1230 Phil Lambourne Phil Roberts 370:1470 Denis Cole Ray Norton 0:5570 Mike Daw Moira Daines 280:1970 Nick Speight Andrew Lipscombe 1470:3200 Tony Gates
Courthouse B win 4:1
A nice evening with those from the Anchor with some good banter. Enjoyed the Pizza, sausage and chips as well. An interesting table that was playing very uphill on the night with a few odd drifts. I was the first to manage to get the break off playing in the fourth game of the night as they were played slightly out of sequence. It needed a bit of a whack with a ton of left hand side to make it. Tony also managed this feat in game five. I did attempt to Help Andy level the table after but my taxi arrived before we could fine tune. Break was definately much easier and one up also. It will stil be tricky though unless it is fine tuned.

Result from 21-3-12
Ash B 5 Nags Head B 0
No result to hand but the victory ensured the title for us....an amazing achievement for our team who have never won the league before and massively improved on the fourth place finish from last year. Well done to all my players who have played so well all season long, every one of them pulled it out of the bag when needed...a special mention to Chris Sexton who after a hard start to the season ended up winning all his last eight league games averaging over 5000 in them games and seeing him play his best Bar Billiards to date and at the age of 23 can only get better, also mention the others.....the forever young at the age of 81 Ronnie Young, the smart ass Mick Osborne, and the ex 3k king Roy Harmer.
Was a great season with the new teams adding some extra spice (or was that the curry at the Plough?) The Anchor were great sports and always enjoyed our evenings in their company...and The Plough who were a great laugh and adding strong competition to the league.
Well done to Mike Daw for finishing top of the averages winning every game and the highest home break. Congratulations also to Bob Osborne for the highest away break, Colin Southouse for the most 3k breaks (Dad is already planning on regaining it next year ;D ) and to Stewart Chant for the most 2k breaks just pipping our own Chris Sexton.
Its been a great season, enjoyed every minute of it....well except from watching Colin stuff me out of sight at the plough ;D Hope to see an even stronger league next year......bring on the summer league!

Hi Hastings BB Fans
Just a note on the Hastings singles and doubles, think the first round of each comp should be built into the league fixture schedule, this should help players book their matches and ensure that the comps get completed before the end of the season.
Might even suggest that all players that have played are automatically entered in the singles
