To reply to a question last week, Corner House won their first match 4-1, with Ian Moss being the unlucky only loser.
Last night we lost 3-2 at the Dolphin. Both our reserves (Jason Cattermole and myself) had to play which greatly reduced our firepower. We only lost one player (to illness) but Bob rightly decided that BOTH reserves played as we were due to play each other on the same table in the Oxford Off-the-Spot competition sometime in the next few weeks.
Ian Moss looked like being the only winner after 4 legs and, even more so when I became the only player to miss the break in the entire match. Luckily Mike Sheppard let me have another go and somehow I contrived a scrappy 10,000 break.
As the table was well over 20 minutes and we were late starting the match, it was 10.40 before the game ended, but Jason and I decided to play our two-leg match anyway to save another night out. Well JC is married these days, you know!
I lost my first 4k and Jason played some really good get-out-of-jail shots to make 6k in two breaks, giving him a lead of 2k with his break to come.
But he messed it up early and we exchanged a few shots before I settled down again to make about 11k in the 2nd leg in three breaks.
It was after 11.30, all the food had gone and I still had to drive 73 miles home.
I got home at 1.00, and STILL had to be up by 6.30. YUK!
What a price for my art!

Please can you type it in the other way round in future, to stop any misinterpretation. (blimey, that's a big word for me, i hope it means what i think it means)...............I better stop before i lose myself !!!! ::) Thanks. Keith.

This is correct there was a function on at the Vikings club and we had to swap our games around. I sorted this out with Mark Pickett who i presume told Dave Tooke about this.
