When I first met my ex-wife, she had a part time job in a pub that had an octagonal pool table in the corner of the bar.... that was up in Eynsford in Kent, I think the pub was called the Malt Shovel and was on the high street overlooking the river. ???
It certainly made the game more interesting than playing on a standard pool table.... ;D

There's a strange one shown on this site (Browns Antiques):
An interesting mixture, could be forgiven for claiming the maker's name "Heath Robinson" ! "End of Pier Style" ..........and........... "Balls can be fired, either with the cannon, or with the cues."

I've known some tables where a cannon would be useful.....

I've known some tables where a cannon would be useful..... .... and I've known some where being right at the end of a pier would be convenient !

How twee! I'd bet money on it being French.

How twee! I'd bet money on it being French. It ?
It looks like two tables conjoined, with legs added like something in War of the Worlds !
The board has to be French as the 200 hole is missing.
I wonder if the stars on the wall behind are to fire the cannonballs through ?
