Last night's Sussex agm there was a new rule regarding inter league that affects Redhill's participation in the coming inter league season.
The new rule was approved unanimously. I repeat the new rule here.
8. League’s entering B, C or D teams. A maximum of two teams are permitted to use the same venue, unless there are more than one table at the venue (ie 2 teams per table).
Obviously the three Redhill teams must now get together to thrash out who will be playing at the Old Oak this season.
I do not have all the inter league captains email addresses so could someone contact them for me please. The captains are:–
A: Colin Robbins B: Richard Plaw C: Karen Baccus. The only email address I have is for Richard
Regards Dave

Redhill had an inkling this was coming and are unlikely to kick up a fuss. :-/
The problem has been the lack of pubs in the area willing to stage such an event and the Old Oak has served us really well, and always provided good food. Clubs tend not to want to provide food and the players then have the problem of arranging the catering. I suppose we could have also taken you up to Jason's pub, but that's going to add extra to your journey.
Matters have now settled down nicely at the Flying Scud, with at last a new landlord who supports bar billiards, so I fully expect one of the teams to move there - but at the moment can't say which one it will be.

I would like to thank Richard Plaw and his team on the prompt action of the Redhill C inter league team advising me they are moving to the Flying Scud.

Jean,
Redhill hold an annual Team Registrations meeting which I attended tonight, and I took the opportunity to ask the question for you.
I can confirm that the A team (capt: Colin Robbins) will be playing at the Old Oak; The C team (capt: Richard Plaw) will now play from the Flying Scud; and the B team (capt: Karen Bacchus) will also play from the Old Oak.
I passed a copy of your SCBBA Yearbook to Denise by the way, she said thanks and was suitably impressed. ;)
[amended in line with information later received]

So going by Jean's earlier post then, the C's are in Div.2 and the B's in Division 3 ? :o Whichever way round it is, Richard will be going to the Scud and Karen and us staying at the Oak.
