The Redhill A team have managed a tremendous feat in winning the Sussex County Home and Away Interleague competition.
Over a testing season, they took on the best in Sussex and finally emerged the winners after a closely-fought contest against Worthing B at the Swan, Broadwater. Geoff Jukes, Vernon Sparkes, Gary Powell and Terry Oakley were the heroes on the night.
This completes a trio of wins for Redhill, the previous occasions being 1994/95 and 2001/02. In the intervening period, only two other Leagues have won it - Worthing A once and Brighton A an incredible nine times - including the last three on the bounce.
In fact Brighton could have denied Redhill but needed to improve on their final result of a 4-3 win against Worthing A.
A blow-by-blow account detailing the drama of these matches can be found on the Sussex board.
Here is a list of the match results for Redhill : Redhill A 2, Brighton A 5 Horsham 3, Redhill A 4 Littlehampton 2, Redhill A 5 Redhill A 5, Worthing A 2 Redhill A 2, Worthing B 5 Brighton A 4, Redhill A 3 Redhill A 5, Horsham 2 Redhill A 4, Littlehampton 3 Worthing A 0, Redhill A 7 Worthing B 3, Redhill A 4.

Well done all of you, now you will have to win the one day crown again. Last time we won the one day is one of my fondest memories from bar billiards, we played the mighty Brighton in the final, there were 5 tables in one bar and 2 in another, myself and the late great Dave Gray played in the 2 table bar and must have started a couples of minutes after the other bar, anyway Brighton had a 3-2 lead in the main bar and Chris Tupper came round to see how thet were doing, Dave and I were winning our games and there came a cry of anguish from chris ' I cant xxxxxxx believe it we are being beaten by a bloke with one arm and a bloke with one leg!!!!!!!!
