To those of you that don't know him - Mickthehammer doesn't really play billiards - but may be a whiz in the quiz room!!! ;D

Hey Guys
Thanks for the warm welcome. As for the quizzes - will have to try my hand. Got lots of answers - but they're not always the right questions for the answers I've got!!! ;)
Tommo - congratulations for AFC escaping with only 3 points deducted. I heard your sigh of relief from Essex!!!
Up the Ammers!!!! ;D

Thanks Mick, Yes our destiny in our own hands now, but we have a tough'un on Saturday t'other side of the tunnel in the heathen land known as East Thurrock. Then the playoffs - away to Bromley (easy peasy) but then more opposition in the land of Essex in the form of either Chelmsford or Billericay. Lets hope that the points leniency can be used as a precedent when the cases against West Ham and Tottenham come up.

Ah! Nice old East Thurrock.... What a lovely place to go for a game of football, I wouldn't bring your best car.. ;-) Only kidding, we are rather civilized here in the lower reaches of Essex, we do have running water and a railway line as well.. ;D
We are away at Wigan on Saturday and are going up with 7500 supporters, I hope they do well as I think the whole league will be decided on the Last day.. just picture it a 6 pointer at Old trafford... :o
As for the points issue, we will qualify to stay up then have the points deducted to go down,, (Conspiracy I tell you) :-X Oh and sod the Tottscum. ;D
Working on the Jokes at the moment may have some by tomorrow.. Not to Tame I hope! :-[

Well, Mick, the Hammers have escaped a points fine. 8-) 8-) But a five and a half million pounds fine sounds rather excessive.
All you have to do now is stay up.
In the cold light of day if you stay up it will have been worth it. If you go down, the fine will be literally kicking the club when it's down, and I'll bet that the amount would be reduced on appeal.
It makes you wonder who benefits from the windfall of the fine? Does it go straight into FA coffers ? Wouldn't be so bad if it went into a fund to help players who were forced to retire early through injury - or into improving stadia for old-established clubs who could do with the money.
But then football is a very top-heavy business anyway.
Up the 'ammers !

Let me tell you Tommo - he was skipping around the kitchen at the first bit of news - and then sat down with a thud at the second bit of news. Good job they've got a millionaire owner now - probably only pocket change to him!!!!!!!!! :-/

But then football is a very top-heavy business anyway. Up the 'ammers ! Thanks Tommo. But as it was said in Star Wars (Episode God knows) Your destiny is with the dark side my son... ... They have to get two good results (Wigan/ Bolton) and one half decent result at Old Tr afford or they will be going down like a stunned Albatross.. "over size, top heavy and a mill stone around the new directors neck" (apologies Tommo no pun intended) ;D As for the Money mate, they will make it back from the fans any way. we will have to have a bit of a whip round that's all.. ;) Personally I think the whole FA is on the fiddle anyway, they do not put enough money in to grass roots soccer and do not look after retired destitute ex-lower league players with a benefit fund. In my view the F.A. is as bent as a 9 Bob note and the initials signify what I think they stand for in English football... F.A. (F#%# All) :o Oh by the way Tommo there is nothing wrong with top heavy. apart from at the FA. "C'Mon The AFC!"

Well we've made the playoffs ! ;D 8-) ;D 8-) ;D 8-) ;D 8-) ;D 8-) East Thurrock Utd 0, Wimbledon 4.
Thought I'd stay away for once, and it brought them luck. :o
And what a great result for the Irons, Wigan 0, West Ham 3. Was listening to the radio commentary and afterwards Mr Jewell was not very gracious in defeat: he can't for the life of him see how the FA can justify the decision not to dock you points - especially after Bury were thrown out of the FA Cup. If it was Wigan or Watford, he said, they would have lost the points.
Carlos Tevez has now been properly rubber-stamped and he played today and was influential. West Ham now have the same number of points as Wigan. Let's hope that you have now turned the corner.

Possible away trip to Billericay or Chemsford if we win at Bromley tomorrow night. So we might get to sample tea and cakes after all ! 8-)

Well done the 'Ammers.
Beat the champions too, didn't rely on other results, so no-one can claim that you were lucky.
Mick was skipping round the kitchen before, bet he's dancing round the bedroom tonight ! ;)
Look forward in nine months time to celebrating the arrival of little T.C.P. (Tevez Curbishley Pitt) ! ;D ;D ;D
