Rather than post in individual 'venue' threads lets try to keep all of our comments/reports etc in a weekly format. I have copied/pasted anything that I have found so far.
Ian , for your information, any thread that has new content is automatically 'bumped' up the order. It isnt possible for Graham or myself to move individual posts to different threads.

Post by IanG, originally called 'Welcome back Windmill'It was good to see all of you back in your rightfull place. The pub has been refurbed & looks great & something you don't often see a bar billiard table going back in after being removed a year ago & in favor of a pool table as well maybe some other counties will follow suit. Tip when you play there don't have dinner first as they supply enough sandwiches to feed an army 8-) 8-) watch out for the landlords chilli sauce ouch !!! Ian. I should also add that we stuffed them 5-0..... Bernie

Originally posted by Tommo on 'Handcross' threadHandcross Z 3 Hurstpierpoint SC 2 The new season kicked off and it was a nervous start by the reigning champs. Lorraine Hall took the first for the visitors (5040) but then Alan Downs (7280) and Barry Timson (4830) made it 2-1 to Handcross. It was left to birthday boy John Turner to secure the match win. In a hard-fought fifth frame Mick Holmwood staged a brave comeback and actually had two goes at the last 100 shot, but it was Kevin Hall who potted it to win 3100-3010.

The Victory 4 - 1 The Brewers
A good evening and fortunately for the Victory a turn round from the Charity result 3 weeks ago.
Three games were close which included the last one when we were 4-0 up but Alan Humphrey managed to pip Tony Driver for the single point.
Previously Richard 'Jock' Jeffrey had been unlucky to get his teams highest score but was still well beaten by 'Sparky' who managed a decisive 4k break mid game to dispel the memory of those charity games :(

When Tommo posted in the handcross board giving a report on the first week of the season in went underneath all of last seasons posts !! ??? as you have copied & pasted my thread re the windmill it must be possible to move things say to a thread for last season :) Ian

Courtesey of Roy Wells This was the first week of the new league season where the two divisions play together. Greyhound, last season’s runners-up were at home to Saints and went away in great form with Paul Goodwin taking the opening leg. The second went to a rampant Trevor Rees with a 12K+ score made in 2 hits, its his age you see, needed a sit down half way through. Chris Watson and Neil Burchell won the next two legs putting the home side 4 up before the captains met in the last. Saints skipper Shaun Morris then knuckled down and put away a good break and score to rescue a point. Newly promoted Handcross S C went to the newly established Windmill and made a great start to their Premier comeback. The scoring was subdued but wins were recorded for John Lear, Bernie Lawrance, Chris Kirkham, Ian Giffen and Darrell Skinner White Horse entertained the Watermill at the Ditchling venue with some indifferent play, skipper Brian Coleman being the only winner in leg 3. Legs 1 and 2 went to John Willis and Norman Cragg, legs 4 and 5 to Chris Nikols and Addy White, a good start for Worlds End. Was it something I said ? Victory turned their form completely around to take this league opener 4 legs to 1. The first went to the (Old) Indomitable with Sparky hitting the best score of the evening to make it 2. Ros Appleby to took a close call to win the next and Rob Driver won well the fourth. Alan Humphrey saved the brush in the last for the Droops who didn’t show their Charity Cup prowess tonight. The Zeds, under new leadership, won a close encounter despite losing the first leg to Lorraine Hall who had the best score for the visitors. Zeds then took the next three with good performances from Alan Downs and Barry Timson and a tight job for John Turner. Kevin Hall took the last leg with the last ball to give Hurst a valuable extra point. Plough were at home to a re-structured Kleiners side where most of the old crew are missing. Des Gasson went on first and from comments on the score sheet, it was probably just as well. The home side took the next three with wins for Keith Potter, Geoff Parsons and Steve Whyte before Jenny Edwards saved the visitors blushes with a win in the last.
