YeeHaaa - Roys found my email address again. Greyhound’s impressive home win over the Windmill pushed them one point nearer the top position still with a game in hand. Trevor Rees took the first leg for the home side. There then followed two scores over 6K for Peter Burchell and Paul Goodwin. Windmill’s skipper, Steve Smith, took what was to be his side’s only leg before Neil Burchell put in the highest score of the evening to take the last game. Plough clung onto first place with an away win at the White Horse. Saints now share third place in division one after a home defeat to the Zeds. Cap’n Shaun Morris hit big in the first to put the home side in front and successive wins for Clive Thompson, Alan Downs, John Turner and Barry Timson kept the Zeds in contention in the premier. The A Team kept place with the Zeds after winning at home against Kleiners. The away side took the first with a win for Ted Stringer before the A Team ran in the next four with wins for Bernie Lawrance, Ian Giffen, John Lear and Dazza Skinner. Despite this defeat, Kleiners still hold first place in division 1. Hurst won their game in hand during the week and followed up with another home win to get them off the bottom of the table. The first two legs went to the home side with wins for Roy Wells and Lorraine Hall. Droops skipper, Andy Farmer-Wright pulled one back but Hurst were not to be denied. The last two frames went to Pete and Kevin Hall for a welcome win but they’re still a long way from the top. Watermill moved up to joint third in division 1 thanks to a home win against the Vees. Norman Cragg took the first and Gordon Brett the second to make it one leg apiece. Ros Appleby won the third to put the Vees in front before Kim Stenning even things up and Adey White won the last and the match. [edit] I know it says Watermill 2, Victory 2, I think it should be W/Mill 3, Victory 2 but it is posted exactly as I receive it [edit]
