Oh so you bombed.................. Well I've got the card here for ours, so here goes :
Victory 1, Handcross 'Z' 4
Charlady 590, Barry Timson (in red Ducati shirt) 2640 Pam Peacock 1120, MrMike007 2360 Sparky 4010, John Turner 1640
...........it had been going along very jollily until Sparky had to go and ruin it by showing off, which galvanised our last two players into action...................
Trevor Appleby 1700, Alan Downs 4480 Rob Driver 970, tommo 4450
Anyway, table started slow but got better as the evening went on. Food : hot dogs with onions, jacket potatos with bacon and melted cheese, chips with melted cheese. Very tasty. Waiting now for the inevitable comment from Sparky.

Courtesy of Roy Wells The Zeds displaced the Social Club side at the top of the premier with a good away win at the Victory. The visitors took a two leg lead with wins for Barry Timson and Mick Holmwood before Sparky, with his side’s best score, pulled one back and saved a route. But it didn’t stop the Zeds who took the last two legs thanks to Alan Downs and Clive Thompson. Greyhound moved up into second place following a good win away at Hurst. With a game in hand over the leaders, they could move to the top. Trevor Rees took what was probably the best leg of the evening to put the visitors one up. Rob Hall then won what turned out to be the Hurst Club’s only point of the evening. The next three legs went in succession to the Greyhound with wins for Paul Goodwin, Neil Burchell and Chris Watson. Plough’s surprising home defeat to the Watermill cost them a place in the table. Addy White put the Watermill in front but things were evened up with the best score of the evening from Keith Potter. Wins from Kim Stenning and Norman Cragg took the match for the visitors with the last leg going to Plough’s Steve Whyte. Saints went to Handcross and grabbed a great win which puts them on top of division one and pushed their opponents down to fourth place in the premier. Shaun Morris led from the front by taking the first followed by the home team captain, John Lear putting the account straight. That was to be his side’s only point as the next three went to the visitors with wins for Matt Geal, Mick Joplin and Chris Little. A home win for Kleiners against a struggling Windmill side moved them up to second place in division 1. Windmill skipper Steve Smith took the first but his team couldn’t follow his lead as the next four games all went to the home side. The winning quad was Derek Taylor, Red Stringer, Trevor Howe and Paul Moyes-Robb. Droops moved down the table despite this narrow home win against White Horse. Once again this week, a visiting captain, this time Brian Coleman, set the pace by taking the first leg. He then had to sit back and see his team go three to one down with wins for Colin Humphrey, Adam Bateup and Andy Farmer-Wright. White Horse took a much needed point when John Ruffle won the final game. - RW
