Another tale of woe from us, as the reigning champions suffered our second successive defeat. (Panic, us ? Still early days !)
White Horse Ditchling 4, Handcross 'Z' 1
Ian Turner 2170, MrMike007 1590
John Ruffle 3140, Barry Timson 1250
Brian Coleman 520, tommo 2560
Colin Mansfield 1730, Alan Downs 1310
Dave Ingram 3900, Johnny Haigh 1680
In John Turner-speak, "The table got easier by the third game, but then got more difficult as the evening wore on !" ;D

Yes, q, the wheels have fallen off our wagon. :'( We'll have to pull our (Tart) Socks up next week against the Greyhound, but then we've an 'easy game' the week after. ;D

From Roy Wells again... With Greyhound’s match postponed it was the time for the Zeds to come good, but it didn’t happen as they travelled to the White Horse. The home side opened up a two leg lead with wins for Ian Turner and John Ruffle. Zed’s skipper Clive Thompson then played his opposite number and stopped the rot. Not for long however as Colin Mansfield and Dave Ingram took the last two legs, the match and three bonus points. The team that did take advantage was the Plough who whitewashed the Windmill at the Leylands Road venue with wins for Steve Whyte, who now tops the players’ list, Des Gasson, big hitting Keith Potter, Malc Fuller and Geoff Parsons. Plough move up to second place. The A Team, who have been out of sorts of late, put in a good performance against a Hurst side suffering from post Jersey blues. John Lear and Ian Giffen took the first 2 legs for the home side before Roy Wells (didn’t go to Jersey) won the third and saved the brush. The home side finished the job with wins for Dazza Skinner and Paul Jobbins, and hoisted themselves a place up the table. The top sides in division one met this week at Saints. Kleiners took an early lead thanks to Cap’n Peter Edwards but Shaun Morris made it one all. The away side once again took the lead through Ted Stringer before Chris Little won a close fourth leg to even it up again. Derek Taylor took the break and the game in the last to open up a small lead at the top. Droops closed in on this weeks opponents by winning at the Watermill. Andy Farmer-Wright took the first for the visitors, Chris Nikolaj pulling it back to one all. The next two legs went Droops way with wins for Allan and Colin Humphrey before Norman Cragg grabbed a much valued point at the end.
