I know I could probably find it somewhere if I looked (too tired after staying up till 2.30am watching tennis to search ) but could someone let me know the start time for the doubles. Had an email from flybe and they have changed our flight time. Should have been there about 5 now won't get there till about 6.30 if there's no delays.

The usual excellent Channel Islands Tennerfest menus are now in full swing, and runs until 11th November in Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and even Alderney. We enjoyed an excellent 3 courses on Thursday evening for just £10 per head at The delightful Fermain Valley Hotel in Guernsey, with mine host Robert Steen, previously owner/manager of The Ambassador Hotel Guernsey, often frequented by the Landmark/Marquanderie boys from Jersey before it closed. Trouble was the drinks bill was nearly £40 for the four of us, and only Larry and I were drinking alcohol ::) ::) ::) Headaches in the morning :o Check these out and book early if you want to enjoy an inexpensive, but decent meal in Jersey before the Open. www.tennerfest.com

The Landmark is still going as far as I am aware, although it's now known as La Marquanderie. It had an 'interesting' barmaid last time we were there. ;)

Are you saying that the Landmark has closed :( that was one of the main reasons for going to Jersey (that and the Dicq shack of course ;) ) Its just that I get confused with all the name changes of La Marquanderie. Yes correct The Ambassador has sadly closed in Guernsey, as has The Cordeliers opposite Les Rocquettes, both now being used as hotel staff accomodation. Do not know about the Dicq Shack - over to Jersey for that reply.

Evening all,
'Landmark' is indeed now reverted back to its original name of 'La Marquanderie' and I can confirm that the Dicq shack is still going strong.
While I'm here, update on numbers:
Singles: 117 Doubles: 55 (9 places remaining with only 8 Jersey entrants in - could be interesting!)
See you all in less than 4 weeks. Sean

Sean,
Paul Barnett for the singles please (last minute decision to come over - unfortunately ny doubles partner Neil Higgins is not yet strong enough to come and is targeting Guernsey next May).
Stick me down as a reserve for the doubles as well please just in case anyone needs a partner.
The cheque is in the post (or rather it will be tomorrow).
Barney

Barney Hi Paul I`m not going this year so you may want to speak to Bob Hall as I agreed to partner him before my decision not to take part. :(
