After last night we have a new KING of Bar Billiards...........and it's none other than the CHUBBSTER !
What an Interleague match this was ! Redhill threw everything but the kitchen sink at Brighton A, the advantage swung back and forth, and at one stage Redhill stood at 3-2 up with a break game to come. Gareth Lloyd then breezed past Dave Constable's opening break of 6k, in identical fashion to Nigel Senior in his reply to Geoff Jukes's opener.
With the match poised at 3-3, the Chubbster faced the daunting prospect of having to beat former BIOC Champion Terry Oakley to clinch the honours for Brighton. And he did it in style, recording two faultless breaks of 7450 and 10,800 and deservedly received an enthusiastic round of applause for a fantastic effort.
Brighton A 4, Redhill A 3
Richard 7320, tommo 5640 FeedtheGoat 880, Gary Powell 12,970 NigelS 10,190, Geoff Jukes 6820 Mario 2890, Jason Wadsworth 7560 Tupps 2930, Colin Robbins 8650 Lloydy 10,710 Dave Constable 6240 Chubbster 18,250, Terry Oakley 0
A pleasant evening spent in great company in spite of the competitiveness of the fixture. A separate special mention to be lodged on the Kipling thread !

Yeah it was a very competitive match as Tommo says. Redhill had Brighton in big trouble several times, Chubbster came through with a terrific performance to clinch the match.

Very well done to Chubbster. A really good match and great company. Rematch is hopefully booked for 11th February, so hopefully another great night in store.
