We had an excellent evening with Lewes at the Black Horse and congrats to them on a fine and well deserved 5-2 win. Thanks to Marcus who on finding there was no food laid on, went over the road and purchased many portions of chips for us hungry souls to enjoy. Plenty of friendly banter and on a table that was very playable as long as you kept your thinking head on we were well nad truely outplayed.

At last, a win :) :) :)
Littlehampton 4 Brighton A 3
Barry Holt opened up with 10k against Mario. 1-0 Lloydy didn`t break off with many against Paul Olver but retrieved the balls at his next visit and won well 1-1 Newly crowned Oxon open winner Feedthegoat only went in with under 2k against Kt. After a go each, kt got the break back and rolled up at 10k. 2-1 Littlehampton Debutant Ian Lelliott broke off with 10k in the fourth against Tupps 3-1 Now at this point we`re all thinking "is this the one? is this our first win of the season?" Nobody was sure after we threw away a 3-1 lead against Horsham at home ???
Chubbster opened up with 4k against Lord Cheeky and was soon back on to get another 7k 3-2 Richard Wooton broke off with under 2k and the balls then stayed up the table for the duration. Neither Chellster or Richard could clear the balls 3-3 Starting to get nervous now ::)
Skipper Dave Hampton soon off the table at 1300, Nigel didn`t get the break back but Dave did and doggedly built up a winning lead 4-3 Well done teammates, after all the wretched luck we`ve had so far, we deserved this one ;)

congratulations to Littlehampton on their first win - it was only a matter of time - a tremendous scalp too.

Mid Sussex B 4 Redhill B 3
P Jobbins 3910 C Jones 330 T Rees 4460 S King 2120 Ian G 1440 M Fraser 2370 Q 6180 S Nicholls 750 A Downs 2430 S Oakley 2800 C Kirkham 920 B Symonds 1690 D Skinner 4370 K Bacchus 1580 The new Handcross top proved a tricky table which needs some setteling. Mid Sussex got off to an early lead but Redhill pulled it back to 3 all. D Skinner lead off with a 2k break which he held through the game Karen was unlucky having got the break back 3 times & only found it on the last attempt.
