Hi Plough Tournamant fans,
Attached results card for the eight who turned up on the day, a very disappointing start to the day, but following a redraw of the fixtures using "fixture list" we quickly came up with a new plan which enabled all players to play each other once.
The tournament was a handy cap whereby opponents started with each others average, then a double break, final scores were recorded and calculations made to compare how individuals played compared to their own Hastings average, it was averages that counted in this comp not wins as Jack found out to his cost going for a 200 unnecessarily and losing the top spot with 2 games to go
The top positions were up for grabs until the last game of the day which was great and kept the interest up right to the end. having the extra table also meant that players were on the table at least once an hour, the only slight problem was a lack of competent scorers but we got over it.
Thanks to martin at the plough who contributed a large proportion of the table hire costs and as usual kept our bellies full.
we done to Chris Haynes who eventually won with a average score of plus 910
