I have, as of yesterday, finally got complete control of, and on-line access to, the AEBBA account.
The AEBBA financial position is less rosey than appeared with cash flow problems meaning that we had almost exactly £1k to our name after the AGM.
That is obviously not a position to pay back all, if many, of the table creditors at this juncture in time. Some finances have to be kept in case of a van problem.
I budgetted for a trading surplus of a little over £1k in 2013 in my financial statement at the AGM, additional table hires over and above last year should take that nearer £2k. One of the two spare tables has now been sold for £700.
Thus I expect to be unable to pay back more than half of the £6k owing to table investors during the course of this year. I will be talking to each of the investors present at Bournemouth about repayment schedules and whether they would like their investment back. It is my wish to bring the AEBBA liability to the larger investors down to a common level initially.

I am pleased to announce that I have sent the last of the cheques out this morning to repay the remaining sponsors who had requested repayment. There is one left to sort but that is tied in with the potential purchase of the spare AEBBA table.
We have managed this earlier than I anticipated, despite the problems with the truck, largely due to additional sponsorship we received this year in a one-off donation via Paul Sainsbury and also table sponsorship income being resurrected this year. Prudent financial housekeeping has also helped.
Financial cash flow will be a little tight over the Xmas period so I ask for all affiliation fees for 2014 to be paid promptly at or after the AGM.
Without the investors in the table fund our premier competitions would have been lost. Those investors contributed varying amounts and some converted the investment to a donation. They were ALL vital to the project to make AEBBA self sufficient, so it would be wrong in my view to give more detail than to publically thank, on all your behalves,
Berkshire Bar Billiards Bill Trinder Briton Building Services Chris Toner Brian Daniels Tony Webster Dave Alder Dave Ingram Dave Neilan Eddie & Sandra Tebby Eric Hill Ian Lelliott Jean Brackenridge Jed Long (friend of Nigel Senior) Jenny Parsons JKS Thomson John & Penny Burch Keith Macdonald Keith Sheard Hayley Tunstall Mark James Mark Trafford Oxford Bar Billiard Ass. Phil Hawkins Ros Appleby Terry Alder Tony Jenner Tony Willis
Thus I will be handing over a clean balance sheet to my successor at the AGM. That is not the end of the story however as the association must now budget for a truck replacement in two to three years time. Please thus support the raffles at the remaining competitions in Reading and pay the £3 entry fee (where else can you get a warm and dry day out for £3?).
Chris Saville, AEBBA Treasurer.
