Hi Tony, Apologies it has taken so long to reply, but have been trying to get hold of Ray. I am really sorry, we have tried to change the times, but it's not possible. Sue is ok to change, but Ray was with us when we did the draw, and because he was on later has arranged to work Sunday morning. Hope this ok, Dawn. Thanks for letting me know Dawn will arrange with James to pick him up to be there by 10.00, no problem see you Sunday, Tony

Hi Dawn
I'm afraid that I have to withdraw from the competition. I'm really sorry that it's such short notice but its unavoidable, due to the changed circumstances of my sisters visit. It will be the first bucks open I have missed since its inception. Also, apologies to you Keith. Sorry to do this, its not my habit, and I know you were looking forward to an easy first round. Dawn, please add my entry fee to the raffle receipts.
Cum bona venia

Hi Dawn
My name is Stephen Hopkins from sussex. Rob Jones of Sussex may come up on the sunday so if you have any drop outs on the day Rob could step in. We will aim to get to you by 9.45am.
Hope this helps.

John - Thanks for letting us know and for your kind donation.
Steve - I have one reserve that has taken Lorin's place, but now have two slots available, so there is a place if Rob wants to play.
Thanks, Dawn.

Have two reserves, so Mark and Keith both have a player, and Steven will play Rob Jones if he comes and wants to enter.

Congratulations to Mark James on his win at Bucks today, beating Keith Sheard in the final. Mark had beaten Ernie Jordan in the semi-finals and Leon Beer in the quarter-finals while Keith beat Tony Martin in the semi-final and Paul Sainsbury in an epic Quarter-Final clash with Paul setting the high break target of 20,250 and Keith replying with a superb 21,680, Barry Radford and Mike Daw were the other two quarter-finalists. Simon Coleman won the Plate Competition beating Andy Godden in the final, Tony Jenner and Ian Moss were the losing semi-finalists with Lorraine Hall, Jenny Florey, Jim Greensted and Tony Webster all reaching the quarter-finals. Many thanks to Dawn, Ernie, Eric and all involved with the organisation and running of the competition and to Dave (and Kelly) Alder who delivered and collected the tables.

Many thanks to everyone from High Wycombe (and Chrissie!) who helped organise another very successful and enjoyable day at Princes Risborough. Excellent organisation from Dawn, brilliant raffle, the most scenic venue ever, substantial food and it was good to see Eric out and about again!
Well done everyone (oh, and to Mark and Simon too :) )
thanks again Tony

Thank you to everyone who attended the Bucks Open yesterday - it was a lot less stressful the second time around!!
Well done to Mark for winning the 14th Bucks Open, to Simon for winning the plate, Keith and Andy (from Wycombe!) the losing finalists, and to all the losing semi and quarter finalist's - including my hubbie - very proud :). Also, congratulations to Keith on the highest break (one of the best games I have seen), which I had the pleasure of presenting him with his prize (hope you used it to open your post this morning!).
We know the room is a bit of a squeeze, but we feel the venue makes up for it. I did pick up a couple of comments/improvements yesterday - tables by the scorers for players drinks etc., - but if you have any ideas/complaints please let us know, and we will do our best to improve it.
Lastly, thank you to all the boys from Wycombe for helping unload and load the tables, Ernie for setting them up, Dave and Kelly for delivering and collecting them, the Golf Club as usual for their hard work and the view!, all the Sponsors who kindly sponsored the tables, Sue Haberman for her hard work with the raffle, all the people who gave cash and prize donations for the raffle, Pauline, Lyn & Carol for folding all the tickets, Eric for his help on the day, Nigel for doing the format (which I would never be able to do) and lastly (but most importantly) Chris who's help on the day was brilliant, we couldn't have done it without you - THANK YOU.
Hope to see you all again next year.
Dawn.

Just wanted to say a big well done to Mark James. Mark has always been a class player ever since I have known him, and this (i believe second open singles title) was long, long overdue, to well done mate.

Congratulations to Mark on your open success and Triplex on winning the plate. Enjoyable day had by all from Northants, and I'm sure the other counties would agree. Thank you to everyone involved on another successfully ran Open tournament. Look forward to entering, and hopefully doing better next year :D
Also sorry to my dad and his opponent whilst the Paul/Keith game was going on.... I was a little more interested in keeping up to date with that game than the one I was scoring!!! Great to see big matches like that in the big competitions. Its amazing how many times two players will run a table out when put in that position.

Well done to Mark and commiserations to Keith. Well done Simon for winning the plate. You a doing Mark a bit of a disservice here Glenn, this is his 4th national win, the 2003 Berks, 2008 Portsmouth and now the 2013 Bucks, plus the 2001 All England Singles. Thanks to Dawn and helpers for a well run day.

Suppose I better put my usual end of tournament post. Firstly may I congratulate Mark on winning his first Buck’s Open. Shame I couldn’t give him more of a match in the final but he mastered the one-up on table 5 much better than I did, so well done to him. Didn’t see any of his matches but he was obviously continuing his great form from the Kent Open (Semi Final) when he played table 1 out against Leon in the Quarter Final with over 17,000. (I had told Leon beforehand that players were struggling with that table!) It was another enjoyable Open but disappointing end for me personally as this is my third defeat in an Open Final this year. At first I was a bit surprised and shocked when I noticed at the start of the day what was being given to the prize winners but now think that having something which can be used instead of just collecting dust is an excellent idea by the organisers. So just to let Dawn know that the engraved letter opener (knife) has already been used and claimed by Lin and the hip flask is wanted by both my sons! Finally well done to Dawn/Chris/other helpers for an excellent well run day and hope you enjoyed the company of that guy that kept sitting next to you. Keith PS Who won the ladies highest break ?

Huge apologies to Michelle Baden (I knew I would forget someone), who's break of 4,060 won her the matching letter opener!
