Jenny
I am positive there will be someone who will play.
I know already of a player who also may be without a partner has said they would.
Can we get nearer the date and let Dave Alder who runs the actual competition part let you know.
Thanks Chris

I have suggested to KP that Jenny was without a partner if Hayley's partner cannot unfortunately be there.
The problem is the draw has been done and allowing people to subsequently change partners with other entrants is not normally allowed as far as I am aware. There is nothing in the AEBBA rules however.
Any request to swap partners with other entrants after the draw has been made has to have the same answer regardless of the strength of the players concerned. That would apply on this and future occasions. U will canvass the opinions of the other AEBBA committee members.
We have two players without partners in the draw ( Jenny P & Bill T.) and possible a third in Hayley T.
Does anyone know of any of the non players attending that would be prepared to play?

No rules have ever been put in here re partners. Eric never entered the draw and always ended up partnering a player with no partner and he is more than capable of scoring a few.
I agree with Chris's observations and there needs to be something but for some players their only motive and is ensuring those that want to play get a game.
I can see there would be an issue if it were top players, who could now change partners.
Yes rules need to be made but this is a tricky one. Not offending the willing and ensuring players cannot pick and choose ( not that this has ever happened )

Although it's sad when players lose their playing partners for whatever reason and they obviously want to play in the tournament I don't think players should be allowed to get together from different parts of the draw once it's been drawn.
Hopefully they will all find replacements that have not already entered.

I thought that Bill Trinder had a partner ? I know that Richard Garrett from Oxford is now attending and was looking for a partner and i thought that Dave Tooke had set him up with Bill ?
If not, Richard Garrett is looking to partner someone!

The 'Royal We' as registrar of entries and accommodation this year is not aware of a Richard Garrett going to Bournemouth, let alone partnering Bill Trinder.
