A close, but low-scoring, match with the pockets proving unforgiving on occasions and the balls often ending up lined up the middle of the table.

Sorry chaps for the lax posting of the scores, forgot I had the score card, doh!!! I'm only the captain you know?
Matt 'not played in ages' Wright 1110 Kevin 'well remembered' Hall 2540 Kevin leading of the current holders with the win over young Matt a close fought match with neither player really dominating Kev simply scored more. 0-1 :'( ;D
Russ 'smug' Jennings 2050 Adam 'bloddy rubbish' Bateup B/P (twice) Russ played well throughout the this one, whilst young master bateup continued his downward dip in form, Russ never looked like losing and the 2 black pegs from Adam ensured him the victory. 1-1 ;D :'( Kev 'I don't care anymore' Stevens B/P Peter 'I like this game now' Hall 3590 A great game this with Papa Hall commanding throughout, Kev managing to faff his break shot from the off didn't help his teams cause, Papa Hall maintained his return to form with some solid scoring and Kev showing us the way with the third black peg of the night. 1-2 :'( ;D ;D
James 'what did I do to upset him' Hawkins Andy 'I'm just tooooo good' Farmer-Wright 6210 Young James up against the Farmer on form was always going to be a struggle for him, Andy going for the team victory slipped in an excellent 5k+ break in the middle of the match to ensure the win. Great stuff from Andy unlucky on James though who has to be said did not play badly. 1-3 :'( ;D ;D ;D
Sarah 'I am not shit at this game Jock' 2460 Richard 'lucky Ba***rd' Jeffrey 3100 Yours truly lead off with break only managing 1100, Sarah immediately returning the compliment with 1200, a tight, close match this one all the way to the end. With Sarah a few hundred in front I got the break back with a couple of minutes left on the clock and slipped in another 1000+ to steal the match from under poor Sarah's nose. 1-4 :'( :'( ;D ;D ;D ;D
A great night, as always with both the brewers teams in good barricking form, a special mention to Maria 'butterfly' Cealano, who didn't play but still managed to show enough thong and flesh to keep us all happy. An inter team raffle saw Andy farmer bag the £40 voucher for a meal at The Oak Barn, well done him, and raised a few quid for the only ways is up team funds. A great chilli served up by the delectable Mike, I'm pretty sure I had several bowls of it, well my arse said so next day, but thats another story........! :-[ :-X ;)
The only way is indeed up, but not yet!!! ha ha. :) ;) :D
