With all semi finals now known please can captains ensure prompt arrangements, although I know Dave Ingram away until next weekend, I have allowed some leeway on the previous rounds but need the final to be played by the last Sunday in September as the Team Championships are in early October.
Thank you for your co-operation, and good luck to the semi-finalists.

Black Horse 2 White Hart 3
Tupps 2350 v 5260 Foxy - Two breaks from Jim to seal the first Ian L. 0 v 5560 Fitz - Gerry pegged his 5k opener when the nasty right hand roll took the cue ball too far over but he came back with another 5k. Martin S. 3750 V 8230 KT - I lost my 1500 opener but got them back before Martin and made a 7k break Marcus 3920 v 1040 Nipper - Quite a few goes for each player. Martin did get them back but came off almost immediately Nige 3880 v 470 Dude - Ricky was a little rusty but had no luck at all.He managed to Black Peg when only 1k down, Nige just done enough
2nd leg next Thursday at the White Hart

Laughing Fish 2 Charles Dickens 3 Tony Jenner 1,830* - 5,180 Neil Higgins Chances for both with Neil making sure near the end. Henry Brooks 10,680 - 3,040* Gary Ridley Gary off early, Henry made sure first visit with a break of 10,220 and then lost another 2k before Gary finished it off. Dave Ingram 3,650 - 8,890* Paul Barnett Paul made sure with an excellent opening break of 8,450 in just over 12 minutes to give me no chance. Bill Kerr 9,010* - 850 Nick Brown Bill opened with 2k but was first to get them back and levelled the game. Jim Millward 5,370 - 6,940* Graham Lewis Graham's three breaks beat Jim's two breaks in a good last game. A well deserved 7-3 overall win for the Charles Dickens, we wish them good luck in the final. A nice shepherds pie "thingie" to end the evening.

First leg of the final will be on Monday (22nd) at the White Hart. Second leg provisionally the following Monday (29th) at the Swan. Sorry Jean, we haven't been in a Watney Mann final before, so didn't know there would be trophies.

Not that it affects the result, but for the sake of BBW's Sussex website stats, the above scores are not correct. Easily done as the matches were not played in the order drawn, and Sir KT has just transposed a couple of the scores. The second and fifth scores should be reversed i.e. -
Paul Barnett 40 8810 Jim Greensted Gary Ridley 3020 8070 Alan Messer
Good luck to the White Hart in the final.
