I am The Chairman of the All Nottingham Bar Billiards Association.
As we approach our first anniversary I thought it prudent to finally get on these boards especially as one of the stated aims of the A.N.B.B.A is 'To form a 5 person team capable of playing at a competitive level to represent Nottingham on the national bar billiards circuit'
We have chose to put the 'All' in All Nottingham Bar Billiards Association as there are many different organisations with the acronym N.B.B.A and only a few italian B&B's with A.N.B.B.A, also after much effort we could find no Nottingham group to join, so we formed our own.
We practice at the Newshouse Inn in Nottingham on a Monday Night and would welcome any visit from any passing billiards enthusiasts, at the moment our scores are low, for example a break of over 1000 is a cause for celebration, but things have improved greatly in the last year.
After much research it turns out there are only 2 working bar billiards tables in the whole of Nottinghamshire(to the very best of our knowledge) but i have seen that there is some history to the sport in the county, we would be interested to see any old score sheets or records of old Nottingham pub teams and associations.
We have records and full score sheets of our own group, but at the moment no logo or website,the group do not feel ready to compete as yet, these things will come in time, but for now hello, and were glad to be here.
