Well done to Richard Wooton for not only winning his second Open, but joining a small band of players that have won back to back opens. He beat Gerry Fitzjohn in the Final. Losing semi-finalists were Kev Hall & Nigel Senior

Congratulations to Richard on winning the Kent classic, playing consistently well all day.
Also to Paul Sainsbury on winning the plate in a tight final with Tony Martin.
Thanks to Pete Sainsbury and his team from Tunbridge Wells on another excellently run day.

Two very worthy finalists and a worthy champion, Richard in imperious form all day and deserved the title!! Commiserations to Gerry, a top performance on the day from a top man. And to think when I spoke to him early on he wrote himself off completely! Well done Paul in the plate and well done Tony Martin as runner up. Well done Pauline too on getting the ladies hogh break %

Congratulations Richard on another fabulous Open win. Also to Paul winning the plate and the two runners up Gerry & Tony. Not a good day for me personally as I was in my FOURTH Plate of the season! Sad to see one or two players feeling unwell, Dave (sickness) Bill K (heat) who gave up his plate single leg game while he was 10k up!! and I was suffering from Water Retention!

I know it's not quite the same, but Mark Trafford did the 'off-shore double' - ie followed up winning Guernsey with winning Jersey: equally impressive IMO.
Well done to the others who gained their share of glory yesterday !

Thank you for all the kind words.
How strange, it has taken years 10+ years to win an open and then I win two in a row.
Although thinking about it I did the doubles in a row also !
Thanks to Pete and Paul for a great day and to everyone else who helped run it.
