Fixtures 19th. August.
Henty "B" v B.L.E.P White Hart v Locomotive
Open Date: Henty "A"
Current League Standings
Henty "A" P8 38pts. Locomotive P7 35 White Hart P7 34 B.L.E.P P7 20 Henty "B" P7 17.
So with the final games of the summer season remaining, it is all to play for at both ends of the table. The title rests between the Locomotive and the White Hart, whatever the score the unfortunate Men from the Henty will be pipped. The wooden spoon will go to either the Boys or the Legionnaires.

Results
Henty "B" 3 - 5 B.L.E.P.
A close run affair with the Legionnaires clinching it on the aggregate. Capt. Russ could have won it for the home team but black pegged in the pairs when on a winning score. This meant the Boys would end up with the wooden spoon.
White Hart 1 - 7 Locomotive.
The title decider was won in a canter by the Wheeltappers with their last of the Summer wine trio hitting top form.
Rob Driver losing heavily to OBE. BB's late flourish not good enough to offset an in form Mr. H. having first run and a good opening break. Lady H played the best game of the night with a convincing large score win over Paul C who was sporting a shiner of a black eye. James not able to catch up Bob who played a steady tactical game. Lady H and James narrowly losing to OBE and Bob in the first doubles. BB and Rob D getting tanked in the last pairings against Mr. H and Liz Clifford. Mr. H in fantastic form.
So Congratulations to the Wheeltappers for winning this years Summer League.
Final Standings - all teams playing 8 games. Locomotive 42pts. Henty "A" 38 White Hart 35 B.L.E.P. 25 Henty "B" 20.
And finally may I thank all those captains, players, landlords and stewards for their participation and for supporting this year's Summer league. I look forward to seeing everyone during the Winter Season which commences on the 2nd. September.
Regards BB.
