Ah ha ! Here we are........
Last 32 update (Bear with !)
Colin Robbins bites the dust.....Andy Burns goes through; Hoppo goes through to the last 16 !! (at the expense of D.C.); Lorraine put in a good showing but no match for the Rooster; Mike Daw beats the mighty Harry Barbet;
BigTJ puts out "Mr Tables" Nigel Ryall; The Warrior wins a close one against Ashley Mallory; Mark James eases through against Vinny Mitchell; Nipper beats former World Champ "Lemon";
Jersey's James Jeanne beats Guernsey's Andy Rundle; Curt Driver blows Mat Ogier away with a couple of 10k's; Martin Smith beats Jersey's Nigel Bisson; Alan Le Blond ends Matthew Jones's fine run;
Sav proves too strong for Chocie Mepham; Gallienne beats Wooton, most of the damage down in the first leg; The World Champ is out !!! Fitz beats him, overturning an 11k first leg deficit with a magnificent 13k ! Finally, K.T. scores 20k over 2 legs to eliminate Damo.
The lineup for the last 16 makes interesting reading: 8 from Sussex and 4 from Kent. That leaves Andy Burns of Berks, Mr Gallienne of Guernsey, and Jersey hopes resting on James Jeanne and Alan Le Blond.

Well done Dave! I'm sorry that relationship duties meant I wasn't allowed to stay and cheer you on, but I am chuffed with the news, and so pleased to see so many others do so very well, most notably Martin Cole, Bobhall and Mike Daw - showing me up as the one "youngster" who was completely useless!
Great weekend nonetheless, and many thanks to the organisers and the hotel for putting the whole thing together!

Knew he could do it ! I posted this on the Horsham website a couple of weeks ago: Dave has now reached the pinnacle of his ambitions - unless he has his sights set on the Inter-Galactic title !

Junior Winner this year was a debutant - Joshua Gardner, my nephew. Second in the group was Tia Hopwood.
Let's attempt to get more juniors interested, as, after all, they are the future of the game and without them it is going to die off.

The Guernsey contingent that traveled by boat for various reasons, got back safely, fairly unscathed. Tel, Bob C & Norman on 9am boat, and the rest on the slightly rougher journey which got into Guernsey at 7pm. Because of the fog last year a few more of us opted for sea travel and were due to sail at 2.30 pm on the Friday which would have given up loads of time to check in for the pairs, until the Vitesse was cancelled Sorry for the unavoidable delay and thanks for waiting for us ! Note to self - remember to travel a day earlier next year
