Time is running out before our closing date.
Although the list shows 29 players, sadly one player is no longer with us, although I'm sure he will be looking down and wishing everyone good luck.
With the players who've said they will enter, but as yet haven't sent in their entry forms we are up to around 40 which is way short of our maximum number of 64 and a little disappointing and we're hoping some more of you 3 pinners will join us up in Suffolk for a fun day of bar billiards.

So, only six days left to enter. Here's the form: www.aebba.org.uk/Entry%20Forms/eastanglia.pdfWith half the entry being from 3-Pinners from just 4 counties (Kent,Sussex,Hants & Oxon) and just another 10 known locals to be added to the list, the tally at the moment is 40, well down on the 64 of last year. Isn't it a shame that we can't attract more from East Anglia and adjacent counties......it's their competition after all !

Well,,,,,,, we had a committee tonight where it was decided that due to the seemingly lack of interest and the passing of our closing date for entries that we would: Cap the amount of entries to 48. Split all the entries into 16 groups of 3 All group games would be the best of two legs Top two from each group go through to the main EA open comp Bottom person from each group goes into the plate. This mean that every person who has made the effort to enter will play at least 5 games. The draw has now been done, I can’t be bother to type the draw out tonight but will try to have posted on here by Wednesday night. I do remember one group was made up of :- Colin Southouse, Nigel Senior and Curt Driver only joking, you are all in different groups. It is a shame so few people entered and its rather looking that next year we will have to buy new trophies and start up a new open, The Suffolk 4 pin open, this will leave the way open for Norfolk to hold their open and still leave the possibility for a EA 4 pin Open. Lets face it the more 4 pin opens we have the more chance a 4 pinner has of winning which can only be good for both Norfolk and Suffolk Dave

I like the format.....shame only 48 entries but you have made the best of it in the circumstances. If the competition turns out to be even half as good as last years, you will still be doing well. Looking forward to it. tommo
