A good final and very close match overall being decided on the aggregate score in the end, chances in every game with the table being kinder to some than others.... many thanks to the Plough for hosting the event even though they hadn't been informed about it and were (sadly) unable to provide any food on the night. Many thanks to Henry for organising and running the competition again this year, we have certainly enjoyed many good evening throughout the summer against all of our opponents this year.... finally, a big thank you to my team mates all of whom have played well and shared many laughs during the competition.

.... many thanks to the Plough for hosting the event even though they hadn't been informed about it and were (sadly) unable to provide any food on the night. Perhaps my system of asking the home captains to organise their own venues when drawn as a neutral venue wasn't the best system. My logic was simply that I have always, whatever the competition, whether I am involved or not, made sure everything is in place as the fish for bar billiards games, so I didn't think it was unfair for other home captains to do the same, as they should be in more regular contact with their venue than any of the away captains may be. My mistake, perhaps this needs revising in future years and I apologise for any inconvenience caused. On a nicer note, I am just going to work through the final reports and will be sending them out shortly. Congratulations to the Albion for winning the main competition, and to the Hassocks for winning the plate. Many thanks to everyone for taking part.

I can pick up from the Semi-Finals onwards (Cup and Plate) but would like to include a reference for all teams who took part. Cheers, tommo
