I bought all the AEBBA table shades from Nigel Ryall in Jersey and several more to re-equip all my own league tables since then.
Several of the crowns needed repairing but that was quite a simple job. You can make a light to attach to the back of the table which is much better in the long run than drilling holes in pub ceilings, especially if the table needs moving. I can supply the specs.
If you still want a frilly canopy light I've probably got one in the garage that I would not want much for, problem would be getting it to you.
Bulb-wise I don't like low energy bulbs personally as they are cold. I still use the old incandescent bulbs (readily available on Ebay) as they help warm and dry the cloth a little and help keep the table fast. Matter of personal choice and explaining to landlords though.

Had a look the old style fringed shade and it looks OK. Cable has been chopped so it will best be rewired rather than just put a plug on and there is no chain. Everything else is there.
Decided I don't want anything for it but have had another email enquiring.
Basically it cannot be posted as too fragile and I am not planning on being at any AEBBA competitions this side of Jersey. If I am then it's push-bike as my cheapest method so carrying the shade would be difficult. Thus there's the problem.
First person to have a method of collection is welcome to it. My only suggestion is that Jim Millward passes near me once a week and he might be able to get it to someone who is attending Didcot.
I have a set of pocket rings and some rubber going on Ebay tonight as I finish off selling the last of my stock that is no longer required.
