Glynde Club 4 - 1 Laughing Fish W
Phil Osborne 5280 v 1310 Andy Brooks Chris Turner 810 v 11940 Henry Brooks Dave White 4020 v 590 Jim Ashford Bob Osborne 6790 v 310 Joseph Carpenter Colin Southouse 4280 v 2000 Ray Carpenter
some steady scoring against the break for the homies made the difference, only the W's top kiddy was able to stay on the break tonight and it was nice to watch, if only we were all so good. At least we earned a better result than was generally expected tonight,, thanks to the run of the balls as well, Nice night with some wonderful Halloween type food prepared by our own Dave (Jamie) Todd

Laughing Fish K 4 - 1 Hospital Club Tony Jenner 8,580 - 3,590* Alec Pope A good game from Alec who was a bit unlucky to play the in-form "Jenneral" who made a very good 7k break to take the win. 1-0 Terry Molloy 11,780* - 1,200 Peter Payne Terry opened with 4k and with Peter having very little luck Terry was always in control. 2-0 Jim Millward 2,360 - 5,050* Tony Smith Tony off early and Jim got the balls straight back, he got up to just under 4k and pegged a split.... after that Jim couldn't get the break back but Tony showed him how to several times to take a good win. 2-1 David Ingram 10,100* - 1,180 Fred Pope With 7k on the board in under 7 minutes I was very tempted to go for a big score.... but I was laughing so much at some of the comments from my team mates that I had to touch up! Fred then had plenty of table time before I added another 2.5k at the end. 3-1 Ian Lelliott 11,930 - 1,350* Stewart Chant Several goes at the break for Ian with Stewart never really getting to grips with the table. 4-1 A very sociable evening, lots of laughs and plenty of banter from the home team (for their own players) and a nice shepherds pie that all disappeared very quickly!

Hikers Rest B 2-3 Hikers Rest A Michelle 230 - 16,820 Kev H** - Kev missed early, got the balls back first go, no more chances for Michelle **Matt 8520 - 1530 Kev S - I was off early but got them back and made 7k, Kev couldn't get the break back Lana 1580 - 7530 Alan** - Alan had a couple of decent breaks, enough for the win **Nigel 15,910 - 360 Brian - Muggy delighted to draw Ingram last week and Senior this week No messing from Nige, 10k and touch, adding a few more later Jack 3870 - 4150 Jean** - By far the most competitive match of the evening, Jean continued her struggles with the Hikers top, she did manage a few breaks this time..... Jack played well (again) for a good lead but he just couldn't seal the deal at the top of the table. Jean edged closer and just as the bar was due she made a 700 break with the balls awkward to sneak over the line and give the As the win

Looks Like the K's will be a tough nut to crack this year, at least Jims Average is going down, still we have big roller or two to help
