Good nite & result against formidable opponents with a bonza plate of sarnies to tuck into as well The table is back to its best after a few weeks in the wilderness, thanks to Moose, Stuey & Rod for some good work!

Southwater 3 Roffey H 2
Ollie Wilkins 2360 Malcolm Andre 1030 Gordon Ling 600 Iain Tarrant 2660 Alex Harding 2410 Stuart Carruthers 2500 Phill Knapp 1800 Mark Carruthers 1470 Jeff Raine 2040 Steve Hopkins 550
A good evening with Southwater and some cracking food supplied by Gordon.
No one really got going on the table tonight and a few of us were left wondering how the got the "W". Both teams peg funds are showing a healthy balance as the pegs spent more time on the cloth than standing.
Thanks to my brother for stepping in last minute to play his first ever game of bar billiards. He ran Phill very close and showed enough potential to suggest he could be better than his older sibling, which as was pointed out by everyone isn't difficult!

The table is back to its best ......apart from a swing to the left Mr Corbyn would have been proud of. Sour grapes apart, well played your team - especially Junkie and your goodself, both of you laid on an exhibition. The bush tucker was exceptional, especially the coronation chicken. An interesting bit of horse trading over the dead rubber: Pity our potential new signing escaped out of the door as the fourth game was finishing !
