Roffey CC vs Bull postponed at Bull's request: hope to re-schedule for a non-interleague Sunday.

News of shocking conditions on tables in Guernsey, Oxford and locally last night, but not so in Crawley on what must rate as a "Cable Table".......
Windmill GG 1, Roffey Club Y 4 Clive T 7350, Jim Greensted 4240 Mick H 670, Dick Cable 7230 Barry T 1020, Lee Cable 8210 Vicky T 1940, Mick Fairs 2010 Tony F 100, Gareth Lloyd 18,570
Vicky played well to score 500 after the bar to draw level with Fairsy only to fail to pot the 100 for the win. Mick and Tony weren't offered a chance - Dick broke off with 6k in around 12 minutes, but not the slowest I've seen this season ! Lloydy was awesome and could have been on for 20k but for a) an early foray down the bottom of the table and b) break not dropping cleanly by the end of the evening.

Have finally recovered enough from Sunday evening in Jersey to try and write. However I haven't recovered by last night and a lapse of concentration cost me a match winning break; I was much better at downing shots on Sunday than I was at playing them yesterday. The rest of the team didn't fair much better. Pup Hopkins thinks we need to go into "Bar Billiards Rehab", does the Priory offer this service?
The Limeburners did deserve their 5-0 victory as they all played well. Mick also pegged a big break but thankfully it didn't cost him the match and after a slow start Ding got going to record a new high Ladies break for the season of 3150.
Roffey H 0 Limeburners 5
Rob 2440 Tony 6750 Steve 2680 Mick 3570 Stu 2550 Steve 3290 Iain 1620 Chip 5720 Martin 2490 Ding 4440
Evening was finished with enough sandwiches to keep a medium size village feed for a week.
