Hi Everybody
The Individual competition matches for the Men's Singles, Ladies Singles and Open Doubles Semi Finals This year I am copying HBBL by having more than one match at the same venue with matches either starting at 8.15pm or at 9.15pm
If you wish to play on a different date, as long as the match has been played before Finals Night Wednesday 18th May, no problem just let me and the venue know.
Reminders will be E-Mailed closer to the dates
Good Luck
JT

Hi Everybody
OPEN DOUBLES
I must admit that I forgot that the 2nd of May was a Bank Holiday, I chose that date because there would be enough time to rearrange the match before finals night on Wednesday 18th May
I will therefore leave it to the players to change the date if necessary
LADIES SINGLES
Due to the rearrangement of a Team Semi Final match, the venue of these Semi Finals have changed from the Stout House to The Limeburners
Best Wishes
JT

Have checked with W/mill landlady and the Bank Holiday date does not pose a problem, the pub should not be overly busy (as it would have been had you chosen the Monday before which is Open MIC night).
Have arranged food so please advise out of courtesy if there is any change.

Ladies Singles Report from the Limeburners......... Kelly Slater 0, Vicky Timson 2 Sam Short 2, Ding Johnson 1 Some good shots from all four players, pretty to watch. Vicky in confident form took the first match from Kelly who had left in a rush, unfortunately minus her cue, and an s.o.s. back to the club remained unanswered. She borrowed Sam's which true to her name proved to be too Short..... Second match could have gone either way, both ladies taking it in turn to lose sizeable breaks - but keeping a few as well. So it's Vicky v Sam in the Final: Ding offered the gracious comment "will be good to see new names on the trophies this year".

OPEN DOUBLES SEMI FINALS) Jim Greensted and Pete Fisher, (Roffey SSC) will play Adam Kuzimski and Stuart Carruthers (The Railway) at the Windmill (Gossops Green) starting at 8.15pm Steve Eely and Dave Lennon (The Three Bees) will play Brian Goodchild and Billy Hammond (The Limeburners) at the Windmill (Gossops Green) starting at 9.15pm Results from T'Mill tonight: Jim & Pete 1, Adam & Stu 2 Steve & Dave 2, Brian & Billy 0 Dave pretty much in control in the second match, but the pendulum swung in the first: Leg 1 Adam was dominant, and Leg 2 won with a good closing break by Pete the Fish. In timed third leg Stu went away with 6k in 8 mins, Foxy in reply left a one-up short on about 2k and Adam then put it beyond reach. Good karma throughout, and a generous plate of sarnies provided by Bev at short notice - complemented by some of Billy's trademark onions.
