Comfortable win for the defending champs on a very good Romans table. The Southdown didn't have the run of the balls at all. Ian beat Chelle in the first followed by Nipper taking out Joe (who didn't have his cue) in the next. Stu then opened with a steady 5k and Bob tried everything to get them back but to no avail, so 3-0. Phil saved the whitewash by beating Fitz and I beat Barry in the last.
Thanks to the Romans for their hospitality and the lovely curry afterwards

Comfortable win for the Smugglers at the Tarring club, table playing well, not the Albion B and the Smugglers took the opportunities presented to them. Rick off early, Dave 7.5k and touch Phil 8k and touch TJ off early, Darren 3k, TJ 2k and then Darren made sure. Bit off toing and froing but Pete never really settled and Bob made sure. James 2.3k, Stewart 1.0k, then a bit of a battle before Stewart settled it with a 3k break Good evening and plenty of banter, thanks to Tony Collins and the Tarring boys for making sure table was good and putting in the match balls. Good luck to all when the league starts next week.

Well spotted Tommo, we will have to rename you Inspector Clouseau I think. Yes, the cue did belong to Joe and I had a phone call about it within a couple of minutes of putting a post on the Forum about it, which just shows what a great thing the forum is for getting information out quickly.
