Roffey CC 3 Limeburners 2
John 'the Reliable' Slee 8460 Dick 'the Gentleman' Dewdney 4460 Mick 'the Machine' Fairs 7060 Chip 'the Unlucky' Sawyer 6150 Jim 'the Peg' Balchin BFZ Ricky 'the Slayer' Dewdney 14,460 Vern 'the Mouth Sparkes 9670 Bill the onion King' Hammond' 840 Junks 'the Choker' Miller 3950 Brian 'the Patient' Goodchild 4760
Great night as usual with the burners, even gentleman Dick giving Junks a good verbal going over much to the amusement of us all. Jim obviously going cold turkey with Black pegs couldn't resist jumping off the wagon, mind you, Ricky had an unbeatable 14k so we forgive! Chip was unlucky, he left the table two minutes too early with 6k only for Micky to play the table out for the win. As for Junkie, well the the name says it all ha ha ha. only joking mate, it's only taken you 30yrs to get to this level, it's not like we expect you to win or anything!!! ha ha John Slee superb as usual, while I was my usual quiet and retiring self!

Alfold SC (3CP's) 1 Springbok Club 4
Guy 690 Mike 1650
A debut appearance for young Guy who showed glimmers that he could be a great young player. Mike's experience won through and keeping his head he built up his score to secure the point.
Steve 2250 Robin 3550
A good little battle this one, Robin started slowly and Steve took advantage putting a decent break together. Robin eventually got into the flow, but it was a bit of a struggle getting the balls back.
Rachel 660 Trevor 2100
I missed the break and allowed Rachel in early, the table got tied up with the balls at the bottom of the table and neither of us were able to get them back for another attempt at the split.
Jacob 1750 Gary 6920
Gary was simple on form tonight, but despite that Jacob made his mark. On any other night Jacob would have got a result, but had to stand and watch as the Master went to work.
Jason 4470 Gary (5th player rule) 4430
The score says it all!! Jason broke and put over 2K on the board, Gary responded slowly, but he too eventually got a break together to put him in touch of Jason. It was then a battle of wills that Jason won through. It was an exciting match to watch.
It was a good night with our friends rounded of with decent rolls. One observation we all made is the table is a challenge once the balls are at the bottom.
