Very pleasant evening. The games were unremarkable. Maxi played well in the last. The break spot (which appeared to have been replaced recently) caused a few problems as it was not stuck down very well and was off-centre. This resulted in the balls being slightly off line, with the ball sitting on the left edge of the spot and rolling off. In any case the spot 'fell off' half way through the fourth game and it was much easier to use the dot on the felt. Maxi has a bad knee, which I hope improves, Bob and Colin had streaming colds and Mossy has to have his hands operated on (which he has deferred to the summer).

We knew something strange was going to happen when a unicorn flew in front of the blue moon while driving past Woodstock on the way to the Club...... Table was still coming inside on the break (it was missing Pete) but the Flag played well to take their FIRST VICTORY OF THE SEASON Poor old Geoff was really struggling but Andy got a deserved point for the home team. Lovely friendly evening as ever at Bletch club and thanks to Pete, back from his Antipodean extravaganza, who made us delicious chicken curry and rice for supper.
