Worthing B 6 Horsham 1
A good team effort some of us luckier than others, a great night with Horsham as ever.
Joe beat Chelsea Joe off early but first to get them back and made sure Nick beat Dick. Dick very generous four timing twice during the game, Nick taking full advantage first time Rick lost to twiggy. No real chance for Rick here Twiggy opening with good 7k Gary beat Stuart. Gary opening with 7.5k leaving Stuart no time to catch Doug beat Steve, Steve opened with just under 2k, Doug 8k touch Barney beat Lee, Lee followed the old man and 4 times Barney made sure. TJ beat Iain TJ got the break back at will but kept playing the split to thick but kept scoring throughout, Iain two goes at the break and also played the split too thick

Game 1 - A superb opening break of 11,960 from Kev to give Tony no chance, Chunky then added some more before Tony got them back at the end. 1-0 Game 2 - DC missed his second break shot and came off, H got the balls straight back and touched on 10.7k before Dave finished off. 2-0 Game 3 - Gary came off on 8.7k leaving Tupps just about enough time, Chris was chasing hard before missing a split and Gary finished off. 2-1 Game 4 - Jim got a huge kick on his second break leaving both balls up, Geoff got the break back but missed his split shot, Jim had no luck and Geoff then got the balls back again and made sure, Jim made a quick 5.5k break at the end. 2-2 Game 5 - Dave J off fairly early but first to get them back before coming off again, no luck at all for Gareth and Dave then made sure. 2-3 Game 6 - John going well on his opening break before getting a split wrong and handing me the break, I got up to just under 3k and left the one up short. John got the break back and left a one up short at 3.5k before getting them back again and adding another 1k before missing a split and leaving them awkward, nothing went right after that for either of us and John held on to take the win while I was simply - woeful. 2-4 Game 7 - A fantastic play out by Nigel with the highest score in the inter league competition this season. 3-4 A good come back by the visitors to take the win, very sociable evening in good company.

Things weren't going well for us at Tunbridge Wells last night. No luck at all in the first three games, but then the comeback!
T/Wells 3. Worthing A 4
Doug P. 10770 v 920 Foxy - Doug off very early with the right hand roll catching him out. Jim got caught out too in the same place then Doug made a 9k break for the leg Brian S. 10820 v 1200 Real McCoy - Martin off early. Brian made enough on his first visit Curt D. 9110 v 3230 Fitz - Gerry was going well until a split whipped out leaving a difficult recovery shot. Curt made sure with his first go Then our luck changed...... Pete S. 2230 v 5810 Chocie - Pete off early this time but got them back only to come off again. Stu caught up and built a lead. No luck for Pete after Paul S. 230 v 10340 Molly - Terry opened with about 4K. Try as he may, Paul couldn't clear the table. Terry added two more breaks Martin R. 2930 v 10730 Ian - A Superb opening 9k from Ian setting the match up nicely for the decider. Vinny M. 1080 v 12690 KT - Thanks to an early miss by Vinny, I was able to get them back and touch on with a 9k break
An amazing result for us considering the position we were in. Hard luck to the T/Wells boys but thanks for a great evening and the excellent spread of food after. With Brighton A losing, it puts us in a strong position for the last match against them. Well done team😉

Redhill B 3-4 Brighton B **A.Blackman 3640 - 3060 M.Knight M.Pellett 9770 - 1310 G.Mechan** M.Fraser 5170 - 9490 J.Brackenridge** **A.Hornby 2350 - 3450 A.Brackenridge T.Pearse 0 - 7390 M.Baden** J.Elleson 3780 - 3110 S.Hall** **J.Balchin 3880 - 5090 M.Chipman Excellent legs from Martin for the home team, and Jean and Michelle for the Bees. The other four legs could have gone either way, but importantly for the visitors Chippers did enough in the decider to give us the win Very enjoyable evening in excellent company, the banter raising a level or two as the decider was in progress Thanks to Anita and Mark for a very good spread of food I think that means Worthing B will need to win two legs to be certain of the title in their last match

Worthing A have one hand firmly on the title again this year with Brighton A needing to beat them 6-1 or 7-0 in the final match to have any chance of winning the league, defeat for Brighton A in that match would open the door for Tunbridge Wells or even Redhill A to take the runners-up spot. At the other end of the table, Mid-Sussex A will be relegated after their defeat at Hastings A.

Worthing B need just 2 legs in their final game away to Littlehampton to secure the Division 2 title and gain promotion, Brighton B are sure of (at least) runners-up spot and will be hoping to get a big win over bottom side Lewes who must win that game to have any chance of avoiding relegation. Horsham are at home to Redhill B in the last series and a win for Horsham will ensure they stay in Division 2 next year.

West Sussex secured promotion with a big win over nearest rivals Hastings B and will be looking to finish the season unbeaten in their final game away to Worthing C. At the bottom of the table, Mid-Sussex B host Brighton C in the most important game in the last series.... the battle to avoid the wooden spoon!
