Extract from 'This is Oxfordshire.co.uk' www.thisisoxfordshire.co.uk/sport/sport/display.var.1243429.0.bar_billiards_dolphin_inspired_by_lee.phpBAR BILLIARDS: Dolphin inspired by Lee Sean Lee was in scintillating form for Dolphin A in the Wallingford & District League, running up a total of 21,000, while his Berinsfield Social Club rival, Dave Chorley, could only stand and watch in the opening frame. It set the scene for Dolphin's 5-0 whitewash, with other wins coming from Geoff Haines (6,410), Paul Caistor, who beat Geoff Mace 12,930-3,530, Dave Barnes (12,470) and Jimmy Robson (9,540). Didcot Conservative Club A skipper, Leon Beer, was in good form during his side's 3-2 win over Dolphin. advertisement He took the opener with a total of 17,100, only to see Simon Ellam level for Dolphin. Con Club made it 2-1 through Phil Collins who notched up 13,110, and Tony Walsh sealed victory. In the League KO Cup, Didcot Conservative Club continued their good form by defeating Portcullis Club 3-1. Collins finished with 10,340, and he was supported by wins from Stuart Florey (6,800) and Beer (6,320), while Kevin Pringle was the scorer for Portcullis with 5,730. In the B KO Cup semi-final, Didcot's Marlborough Club beat Fairmile Social who took the opener through Paul Butler. But from there, it was downhill all the way for the Cholsey team, as Marlborough romped home 4-1 In the final at Portcullis Club on Saturday May 12, Marlborough will play Tandem B, who beat Rose & Crown B thanks to Mark Trafford (3,870), Sid Ponting (4,500) and Kevin Hall (1,900). So, the BB Reaper heads to Wallingford?? Surely there cant be TWO Kevin Halls??
