The Flag's misery continues...
The opposition arrived mob-handed tonight (well there was four of them!) and we spent a long time chatting in the garden as it seemed too nice to waste it playing BB. Table played reasonably well, although the heat got to some of us and as the air temperature dropped from 30 to 28 Keith thought the table got visibly slower.... Apart from the first game when I went off with a steady 9k, all the games provided chances for all the players.
A fair result though and a smashing evening with this noisy bunch. An excellent supper from Andrew as ever....

A dreadful performance by the 'Lion. I lost the first game, unable to get the break back, albeit in the face of what Roy (who was scoring) called 'gamesmanship'. I don't blame it for the fact that I lost, I just played badly, but it's not what I would expect from a Life President of our League. All other games went the same way, without the 'gamesmanship', except that I rallied a bit in my second game, going in with 10k. Pete played well in both games. Debbie proved too good for Colin on the night. Mossy came up as a spectator after his operation. A pleasant evening all round with good food
