The arrangement for the last two years, which has been made very clear, is that the captain of the venue that is drawn is responsible for food being organised...

Good evening with the Glynde, and some close games with chances for all, table all there but certainly nobody really settled, and yes the Bevy did kindly cater for us and a lot of interest from the locals. Rick off early, Bob built a lead with 1.5k break, Rick balls back added 1k, Bob balls back added another 1.5k, Rick got them back again off at about 1k and then Bob made sure. Dave almighty kick on the break, Ian got them back but off at 1.5k, turned very scrappy and Dave was on the table as the bar went and within range, but came off with three balls left, Ian gratefully accepted the opportunity to finish it off. TJ off at 1.3k, and got them back but left one up short, bit off a battle at the top end and Dave got them back, he was closing well= but put the one up behind, TJ balls back and off as bar dropped with enough. Phil started well but off at 1.4k, Jim balls back off just over 1k, Phil then got the first 2k break of the evening, Jim got them back and battled to stay on getting the lead and staying there. Jim first one up behind, but was first to get them back and built a lead which him and Rick maintained. With the table needing more and more left on the break, Bob off early, TJ off at 4k and added another 900 to ensure the win.

No food at the Hassocks tonight. Very poor considering most of us go out of our way to make sure teams are catered for Sorry about this H. As you know I did make it clear on the email and on here but the message it seems didn't get through... I do chase venues myself but only really the ones I am familiar with and don't feel that the organisers should do it as there is plenty of other stuff to do

Some never to be forgotten shots on all sides....thanks to the Hassocks for a good night, with plenty of good natured chat. Thanks to Ros for a nice spread of sandwiches that she had organised before going to her match. Fair to say that everyone found the table very tricky at the top in the later legs as it got more and more whippy

Burgess Hill CC 4 - 2 Blacksniths lost more points than we scored tonight, whats worse than woefull? Not being able to spell your own team's name? Spelling woeful wrong? Lamentable? Seriously though, the Blacksmiths were unlucky (or rash, in Peter's case!) to lose several game winning scores. A very nice evening at the Fish, with lots of laughs, one rather strange spectator who got in the way of a few shots and a brilliant curry (thanks H!)
