Albion Fishersgate A 4-1 Albion Fishersgate C Matt 15,130 - 7190 Gareth** **Joe 7100 - 4760 Kieron Rick 2290 - 6870 Alfie** **H 8940 - 7600 Hev TJ 14,230 - 6600 The Chellster** Before reporting begins the words "so lucky or "very lucky" are all contributed to 4timeschamp J.Millward In leg 1 Gareth was off early, there was quite a bit of messing around at the top end of the table before I got them back sinking 3 balls with a shot that was either "very lucky" or very good depending on your point of view! 7k and touch for 1-0 Leg 2 saw Joe (now known as three breaks Joe), Matt is in major strife now defeat Kieron who has improved no end..... Leg 3 and talking of improving no end saw a victory for Alfie over a disgruntled Rick who tried absolutely everything to get the balls back but "luck" deserted him. Alfie played some really good shots, keeping his advantage from a nice opening break. He is a wise chap in that he heeded the advice of his father rather than loud efforts to the contrary from the home captain For a top quality, strong footballer it really is not on that Alfie cannot pull the bar at the beginning of the leg.......... Leg 4 and poor old H was subjected to the noisiest leg of the evening, with dreadful barracking coming from the away (non-playing, cannot get in the team) captain. Fortunately for us the "Brooksmeister" was "so lucky" or "very lucky" and succeeded in both, giving us the win, and keeping the game close with skilful play seeing him rip the lead from heckled Hev (by Jim) as time ticked away Leg 5 saw a repeat of the recent Watney Mann clash but although The Chellster started well the result was different this time with the Jenneral slamming in an 8k break to give him the win and the home team a comprehensive win......The Jenneral likes keeping the fans on their toes, a whipped 100 narrowly missing the peg and with victory well secured ensuring he gets his poundsworth and carrying on regardless. The fans were with his win though Apologies to anyone who cannot hear today due to the rather noisy evening they had to endure. It doesn't help when the away team non-playing captain is having a pint or two and is in direct competition with "Silent" A comprehensive thrashing for the home team, but of course when you are "so lucky" or "very lucky" the result is never in doubt........

You have to play to the crowd and my captain should know better than using words like steady and nothing silly now, he has the experience of benefiting when I peg a winning break.
Great night last night though with plenty of banter.
