I shall be visiting both Roffey clubs tomorrow night, armed with my receipt book, on the off chance that anyone wants to submit their Cup Competition entries early.

Roffey CC 3, Roffey Y 2.
Ian 1630, Lee 7260. Ros 4870, Ben 670. Trevor 610, Micky 14520. Paul 5670, Kieron 970. Graham 4600, Dick 3030.
A good home win for us, excellent rapport with Dick's team and plenty of BB-related chat. Three big trays of sandwiches, all tastes catered for, to complete a pleasant evening's BB.

Roffey H 4 Windmill CC 1 Breaks: Stuart 19140 That's impressive Stuart, but you'll have to speed up slightly if you want to relieve Nipper of that trophy standing proudly on his mantelpiece !

Speed was not the issue, the clock was looking good with two minutes left. The problem was a lack of skill, as I missed a split when hitting it too thin and could only watch as the white slipped past the 100 hole and the red sat on the front lip of the 50 but didn't drop. Maybe one day I will get another chance...

Maybe another chance will present itself soon - at Interleague, especially as the rules have reverted back to nominations ?

Well done Stuart, must feel good after you said you were struggling with your game, first of many big ones I am sure.

Windmill GG v Stout House - p'pd at request of Stout House, now playing 19/12/17
The match outstanding from Week One was played, with the usual mixture of fortunes: Barry found himself 240 adrift with the one white left: he might have changed the shot which lost the red if the bar had gone seconds earlier. Twiggy started with a good break only for Tony to more or less play out to the bar. And Tidy, Gordon Glitter and myself all lost breaks and got little in the way of chances afterwards. But when it came to the crunch, all those who won were worthy winners. Barry 2330, Glyn 2670 Tony 6580, Twiggy 3760 Graham 9990, Tidy 770 Mick 5160, Gordon (resplendent in festive Xmas waistcoat with lights) 2480 Clive 1790, Noggs 5210 Windmill GG 3, Stout House 2Half term report: Must Do Better (well, me, anyway)
