One more pair to be added to the Ladies Doubles, so now will be a round Robin. Thank you to Dave who is going to do a revamp of the draws to accommodate this. I discussed this with Dave and agreed to the extra pair when he kindly said he would rework the draw.
To Tony Jenner for organising and running the competition.... to Burgess Hill Conservative Club for hosting the day and making us all feel very welcome, prices were very reasonable and a good selection of food available during the day.... to Dave Alder for bringing the tables down.... to Stuart Mepham for setting the tables up to play so well.... and to Rick Cunningham, James Whittle, Rob Hall and Ros Appleby who helped TJ and Stuart get the tables in and put together.

Great work Dave a very good day and as the scores show an excellent set of tables. Well done to Jean and Sandra, Nigel and Tupps and Ian and Geoff who cam through to win their respective competitions. Some excellent breaks as=nd a generally high standard all day. Look forward to another great competition in the singles tomorrow.
Lovely club who welcomed us and the ladies did us proud with the food, especially the lovely cake.
First of many competitions to be held here I and a learning curve for us as to how to set up the room and what we need to do in the future, but as the club steward is willing to listen and talk about everything and wants to help us have the best day we can, it will be no problem to iron out what were only one or two minor problems.
Thank you as always to Dave for doing the admin desk, I am good at running about and chasing up entries but useless when it comes to the admin needed to run the day smoothly. Thanks to those who stepped forward and did more than their fair share of scoring to keep the day running smoothly.
