How good was Franksey ?
This should give you some idea, Horsham Top 10 players from their averages each year from 1977 (when they were first compiled from slips of paper and calculators - four of us stayed up all night to do it) to 1993 when I handed over the Secretaryship. Sorry, one year (1985/86) is missing.

So, how good was Franksey ? Well, he registered thirteen consecutive top five finishes in thirteen attempts, and was placed at number one for five out of the last six attempts.
The only player to come even close during that period was John Slee, who also managed thirteen top five finishes but out of a possible fifteen attempts. He also had five top finishes, but within an eight year span.
