Royal Oak 3 Lamb & Flag 3 (at the Red Lion)
Terry Cook 1-1 Tony Willis Alan Pimm 0-2 Martin Friend Thomas E-R 2-0 Steve Walker
After chasing over 6K in the last game Steve had to put it behind the black to win the game AND the match. He missed and Tommy potted the 100 to take victory for the ROYAL OAK. A good match on a fair table and well done to them

We won the toss and Colin chose 2-4-6, something of a 'no-brianer' looking at the draw. Indeed, it worked very well for us. I was very lucky to keep my break in the first game as I had a 'whipper' out of the 100 pocket at 9000 which rocked the right hand peg. Ian lost his initial 5000 break in the second but got them back with another 4000 break. Colin and Ian had a dour struggle with Ian clearing up the table to win. Keith lost a 4000 break in his second, which, if he had kep t it would have retrieved half the aggregate. Colin finally found the table in the last game. Nice scampi and chips to follow.
