There should be an amendment at the end of the rules which states “ All rules are subject to change if the committee fancies it”.

As it’s serious Once the committee have sorted a date for the AGM don’t forget to get your rule amendment in a month before in writing to the secretary
It will be nice to see a few different people at the AGM this year hopefully willing to take up positions on the committee

Rule B19
B19. If due to exceptional weather conditions a league match cannot be played the Executive Committee have the discretion to have this league match played at a later date. Where, by mutual agreement, teams wish to postpone a fixture the consent of the Results Controller or the League Secretary must be obtained at least one week prior to the proposed postponement. If a postponement is granted the date of the replay must be agreed with Results Controller or the League Secretary at the time of the postponement. Normally games should be completed either prior to or within four playing weeks of the original specified date of the fixture. All fixtures, irrespective of the foregoing, must be completed by the last date allotted to League fixtures within the season. Failure to complete a fixture within the specified time will result in the match being declared void.

No brainer!
I’m assuming you’ve read through all the rules and not just the one you want as your saying rules can’t be changed
Have a look at Rule D6 Perhaps we should take the points away from every team that has not posted a result card in time! Could be interesting as most teams will probably end up with Nil points !
Have a look at B24 All perpetual trophies should be returned by end of March. How many teams or individuals do this without being chased by Committee members to return them (often chased more than once)
Have a look at B4 Players should be registered one clear month before playing. The committee have taken registrations and allowed players to play before waiting a month. As a now small (and dwindling) league we have tried to help teams out (otherwise in danger of losing them altogether) Spirit of the game! Trying to keep the League going!
These are just a few examples
Personally I think this is a matter between the Montreal A Captain and the committee to discuss and a decision will be made.

I am fully aware of many rules are broken every week, not just the ones mentioned. The committee have enough work without more petty arguments to worry about. In the fairness of the game and to keep the continuity flowing, the outstanding game should be played. This could set a precedent as next time it could be a premier division title up for grabs.

Caxton v Pocket Rocket B Dave Bartrum 2170 v Matt Enticknapp 1480 James Whittle 2250 v Gemma 1720 Brian Bartrum 1400 v Alan Mepham 1900 Colin Green 3060 v Dave Roberts 740 Brian Bartrum 3460 Toni Hunt 600
Thanks once again to the Caxton for some amazing food and hospitality
If the Montreal are that concerned about winning the league we are quite happy to conceed and allow them to win the league. The Montreal should have beaten us at the Caxton instead of losing 5-0.
