Jean and Alan to be added to the list. Ideally one or two more players to make the 24. If you wish to play, turn up at 12pm to get put in the draw

Well done to Curt Driver on winning Worthing Off the Spot today beating Jean Brackenridge in the final. Well done to Jean too. Curt built up a big lead with his break to come and whilst he didn't keep his opening break, his good play in the first leg saw him home. Phil Osborne won a never to be forgotten Plate final beating James Whittle. Well done to both players on performing so well under the duress of the scorer trying to be a comedian Massive thanks to Kevin T, TJ and Pete H for all their hard work running the weekend competitions. Things got a little fraught during the day with time constraints, absentees and the odd strop but Kevin kept things going well. I think it a massive shame that TJ has to spend so much time chasing people for both days, would be nice if he (Kevin and Pete) received a little more support from players in the Worthing League.

I agree Matt Unfortunately I had to miss the weekend as my mother was admitted to Worthing hospital after falling with a broken hip. I am devasted at missing The most important weekend. In the Eorthing calendar. My mother’s operation was successful thank god but at the age of 96 she is a courageous independent woman who will get over this accident. I hope you all have a great weekend
