Well done to Redhill on their win. There were chances in every leg with no-one going off with enough in any off them. Two or three breaks were needed to ensure a win. Nigel and Phil both playing well before things going downhill and Redhill taking control.
An excellent first Home match in Inter League at the Henty. As always, well looked after by Vern and his lovely staff. A filling sausage casserole and chips to warm the cockles on a cold night. A very entertaining match also took place😉
Martin S 2330 v 6520 Ian Wright - Martin practiced the table better than any of us but lost his form in the match. Ian took advantage Molly 13240 v 1260 Pete S - Pete was off very early and Terry killed it with his first break of 10k Chocie 6760 v 8210 Richard C - Richard opened with a couple but Stu built a lead with two breaks, but not enough. Richard finished off with enough to put the visitors ahead again. Mike D 10040 v 5490 Martin R - Mike's 10k opener enough for this one although Martin did finish the clock off Fitz 100 v 16720 Curt - Birthday boy was certainly on form although he had a couple of nervy splits to start. 10k and 6k breaks to go ahead again KT 10220 v 1990 Paul S - Paul went thick on his first split and took a peg. I got them back and made 8k giving Paul a slight chance but he didn't take it. Joe 9480 v 2340 Brian S - A perfect start for Joe with 9k leaving Brian no chance to catch him
Yes, once a King always a King but once a Knight and happy
