Chaz 760 Dick 4970 Though Dick found the break a challenge he had the the quality and experience to put decent scores together, Chaz simply had no real table time.
Bill 4120 Chip 690 Chip left the break up short allowing Bill to take control, with a little bit of luck and some decent play Bill put the game out of Chip's reach.
Trevor 560 Rick 6780 Well Rick had no problem with the break and I found myself the unwilling spectator. Rick controlled from beginning to end, I had no real response.
Gary 4660 Bill 1450 Bill made a bright start, however, once at the table Gary took control to push ahead. bill was unfortunate not to put more points on the board.
Mike 1010 Brian 2070 Brian took the early lead and Mike never really got going, being his first game of the season, Mike was a tad rusty, but none the less gave his all. Brian kept control, chipped away and secured the point.
A great night, plenty of chat and decent rolls enhanced by Bills onions,
Colin Bolton 2260 Colin Barrow 1950 Grant Hope 2880 Peter Barnett 1080 Scott Hope 5700 Dave Sands 2100 Lee Tugwell 690 John Thayre 3730 Dave Simmons 5710 John Thayre 2680 (4 player rule)
Game 1: A close battle of the Colins. Neither player got the break back, Sparrow ran out of balls at the end. Game 2: Solid performance from Grant, Barney finding the woodwork. Game 3: Good game from Scott, kept Sandsy off the table Game 4: Scrappy game, John’s experience showed. Game 5: Reasonable start from Dave with John on again. John overtook before Dave cleaned up with 3k. Fun evening although the table a little hard work at the top end. Rounded off with a fine spread of Barry’s trademark ‘F’ class sandwiches.
Man if the match: Despite not quite having enough points (210 behind) Sparrow gamely went for the 200 to finish. He didn’t get it but left the ball touching the black peg. Average and reputation safe.
