**Tony 4290 - 3630 Nigel - The Jenneral battled extremely hard to keep Nigel at bay to give us an early lead Joe 3040 - 4770 Ian** - Plenty of chances in this one, Ian keeping his nose in front and cue in his hand Matt 8340 - 5290 Phil** - Phil had a few breaks, I made 4k in my first and annoyed to come off with a thick split, another 4k break gave us a vital leg against **Nick 6270 - 5310 Bob - Great comeback from late replacement Nick. Bob made a very good 3.8k break when given the chance but Nick roared back to give us the points Rick 3930 - 7760 Marcus** - Good leg from Chippers, always in a good lead, which try as he might Rick couldn't catch
Plenty of banter and some abuse, but as always an enjoyable night with the County Oak. Good win for the Rocket
Not sure I would say kept Nigel at bay, I did battle hard a certainly had the run of the balls but glad to get of the mark in Brighton for the season, as always Nigel gracious in defeat, great night with the Oak and good to see teams mixing on the same tables rather than a divide of them and us.
Reggie 4,810 5,410 Bella - I'm still getting confused by the new break pattern but Reg came off early and Bella got herself ahead, the game was pretty even with Bella getting the win despite a good final break from Reg. Martin 1,970 5,690 - Sandra moaned about having the break and was off early but kept getting the break back and putting points on the board, Martin with not much luck. Phil 3,020 5,960 Kevin - captain Phil put himself on to stop the rot but Kevin kept applying the pressure to take the win and the match.
Ash 4,090 2,340 Doug - the game of the night..... from Ash anyway. I regularly play in the same team as Ash on a Monday and I have never seen him play so well. He made few mistakes and kept building breaks all the way through compared to me no being able to play the one up. This was Ash's highest score and well deserved. He even felt sorry enough for me to give me a lift home. Dave 1,800 2,500 Zoe - Neither player really settled but Zoe always in front and held on at the end. Bevy B 1-4 Bevy A
