Pocket Rocket | at Tarring | 03-Jan | Alexandra |

Dave Roberts | 3150 | 2010 | Pete Hickman* | Ben Goodwin * | 1570 | 7470 | Tony Jenner | Alan Mepham | 3320 | 3320 | Rick Cunningham * | Gemma Wilson * | 1640 | 3130 | Joe Oakley | Toni Hunt * | 1530 | 3280 | Mal Spier * | 1.5 | 11210 | 19210 | 3.5 |
A very good evening with the Pocket, and plenty of banter and laughs despite the cold room, table playing well, but enough there to catch you out. Pete opened with 850, Dave got them back and made 1.2k, a lead which he always maintained, pulling further ahead towards the end. Ben missed both balls on the break , I got them back only to leave the one up short, Ben got them back added 1k, I built a lead then got a 5k break to make sure. Rick off at about 1k, Alan balls back and made 1.8k a lead which he maintained throughout, Rick fought back at the end and had choice of 100 hole to draw or 200 to win, took the draw on first attempt. Gemma off early, Joe built a lead which he maintained throughout. Toni off early, again Mal built a lead which he always maintained. Usual game of 31s for us at the end, table being the winner as we did not do too much damage to the score board.

Albion C 2-3 Henty Albion 2-0 down, then good wins for Nigel and Michelle before Curt dominated the decider. I am sure Kevin will post the scores ….or not Matt 240 - 10,920 Kevin** - Kev opened with 10k, leg over **Jean 1100 - 10,580 Gerry - Both players off early, but Gerry killed it off second break Nigel 9100 - 8510 Stu** - Stu special to start with some 50/10 whips of the highest order, very good start from him but vintage Nigel with a perfect 9k as the bar dropped **Michelle 6620 - 4370 Martin - Michelle built a lead with 2 breaks, Martin's opener saw him 2k in front but Michelle with very good 4k to get it to a decider Tupps 450 - 11,410 Curt - Tears as Chris 4 timed first visit, no mistakes from Curt with an excellent break to give the Henty the win Well done to the Henty on their win, plenty of close to the mark banter especially during leg 4

Marine View 2 - 3 Swan Nomads @ The Henty
Geoff Twinning 640 290 Lyn Higgins* More lost than kept in this thriller!
Martin Grubb* 1210 5460 Ros Appleby Good solid game by Ros. Added at each visit.
John Hayes 660 3140 Neil Higgins* Only a 2k starter from me, then balls went into some very interesting places, such that the break never came back.
Bepo* 2450 0 Alan Messer With the Marine View only having 4 players, the match was therefore won. Alan was able therefore to concentrate more on watching his beloved Man City stuffing Liverpool on the tele, than on his match. He did, however, leave himself the red ball in the 200 as the last ball for the win. Only slightly overhitting it, the red wobbled in the pocket just enough to knock the black over.
No player w/o Tony Burgess
Thanks to The Henty for their hospitality, which included generous amounts of sausages, chips and beans.
